Warwickshire youngsters have organised a youth arts benefit later this month in aid of Warwickshire's young homeless.
As well as raising funds to help tackle this important issue, the 'Raise the Roof' gig on 16 July will showcase the wealth of young talent and activities on offer for young people in the area.
Warwick and Leamington MP, Chris White, will open the event which begins at 5:00pm, followed by an open house session until 7:30pm. This will be a chance for visitors to meet the performers, take part in arts workshops, and find out more about local youth arts opportunities.
Tickets for the concert starting at 8:00pm are £2 for young people aged 13-18 and can be purchased from local Youth Centres (see below). Led by Warwick district youth team and supported by Indestructible Music Club at Hybrid Arts, the bill features performances from a variety of live music and dance acts.
The event is strictly alcohol-free, with the Veggie Table cafe open for refreshments.
Proceeds from the event go to Warwick's young homeless charity Roof. The project supports young people 16yrs - 19yrs who are homeless or need housing advice and support. It has been running for just over a year and has supported over 50 young people in that time.
