Leamington Community Kitchen in BPCV

Leamington Community Kitchen takes waste food from local businesses and cooks it up every Sunday to give meals back to the community

The incentive for starting the project came from realising how much food shops and supermarkets throw away at the end of every day because it has passed its sell-by date. Most of this food is not unfit to eat, and the Community Kitchen rescues everything that isn't past its use-by date and give it away for free.

The doors of Leamington Community Kitchen are open to everyone; between 12pm and 2pm on a Sunday they will be serving food. Their aim is to create a safe and friendly enviromnment where people can share a meal and conversation. Their volunteers will be around to chat to customers and to give advice and recipes for cheap ways to eat healthily.

They open at Bath Place Community Venture on Sunday 27th November, so do please come along.
