The Birthday Bash

Saturday 12th November
It was a GRAND GRAND DAY on Saturday when the Bath Place Birthday Bash happened. Why Grand? Because over 1,000 people came through the Doors and by 7pm we had raised £1,000. It was a fantastic day!
The Lantern Workshop in the Community Arts Workshop went down a storm. A huge variety of Lanterns in all shapes and sizes were made and you will be able to see them on 8th December when there is the Lantern Procession through the centre of Leamington from 6:30pm. You can also still come along and make your own at workshops on 19th, 26th Nov and 3rd Dec (take a look at www.leamingtonlanternparade.co.uk for more info).
There was something for everybody to do on the day. At 8pm we still had a couple of children playing on the Giant Snakes and Ladders Game - how cool is that!.
Loads of people commented how good it was to see the Old Library so full. You could feel the buzz and the whole place was crackling with energy.
The Veggie Table Cafe did a roaring trade. The Staff and volunteers were rushed off their feet. They were so busy that they had to call in extra volunteers to do the washing up.
We want to say a "massiv" THANK YOU to everyone who turned up and spent their money with us and everyone who helped on the day. You know who you are.
And guess what? Yes we are going to do it again! How about early in the New Year?
We also launched our "Friends of Bath Place Community Venture" Scheme at the Bash. 17 people have signed up to it and many others took the form away to complete. (See the "Friends" page)
