The Association of Midland Artists is holding a group exhibition in the Atrium until 24 November 2011. This show is full of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures and ceramics from unknown, emerging and established artists. All works are for sale.
Katharine Barker, participating artist and AMA Treasurer, said 'It is a real pleasure to be showing the work of two of Leamington's most accomplished figurative artists, Neil Moore and Elizabeth Marsh, for the first time at this venue. Neil has included his very expressive oil painting titled 'Mutineers' which is a really interesting contrast with Elizabeth's portrayals of calm village scenes.'
The association of Midland Artists (AMA) was set up in 1985 and currently has around 70+ members, most of who live in Warwick District. The AMA is concerned with the production and appreciation of contemporary art. Painters, sculptors, printmakers and potters are encouraged to become members, to exhibit their work and to enter local and national 'open' competitions. AMA organizes annual shows in Trinity Church in Leamington and meets ten times a year in the Baptist Church Hall to hear a programme of speakers.
