English for Speakers Of Other Languages

Permanent UK or EU residents, Asylum Seekers and Refugees or other students where English is not the first language may receive English classes. There is a charge of £3.50 an hour or FREE if you are unwaged or in receipt of any benefits.

Learn to communicate effectively and more fluently through improving your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills on our courses for adults of all ages and from all walks of life.

Elementary General English classes Mondays 6-8pm and Wednesdays 6-8pm.

Intermediate General English with Citizenship classes Thursdays 10am-12pm.

Advanced IELTS English classes Tuesdays 6-8pm.

History for Speakers of other Languages

Supported by Heritage Lottery Fund

An illustrated on-line learning tool for English language students. Find out about local history with vocabulary and images from Leamington Spa. Sections on Health, Education, Family, Hospital, Transport and Your Town, for pre-intermediate, upper-intermediate and advanced learners.

Improve your confidence by improving your reading, writing, spelling and maths skills with us. Learn in a small supportive group or individually and in your own time.

Discover the hidden history of South Leamington. Join in our fascinating slideshows and talks, get to know your Community History, find out about your home, trace your ancestors, search our image database.

Weekly sessions (Tuesday mornings) at Jephson Gardens Lodge to maintain the Community Archive image database.

Talks and slideshows every fourth Monday of the month. 7.30-9pm.
