The Veggie Table aims to provide food that is healthy and international in its flavours, bringing together local produce, exotic spices and Recipe ideas from the wealth of different cultures within our community. Here are some examples of our Favourites

Fairtrade tea, Coffee, hot chocolate and soft drinks are available from The Veggie Table. The cafe serves nutritious vegetarian meals with influences from all around the world. Meals are only:

Veggie Meals By Cycle

Volunteer Cyclist

Freshly prepared Vegetarian meals delivered by cycle from the Veggie Table at Bath Place to Brunswick, Willes and Old Town areas of Leamington. Only £3.50 per meal and free delivery. Discounts available for OAPs low income and group bookings. Orders taken before 10am on the day and delivered between 12 and 1.30 pm. To order call: 01926 338 421. Volunteers needed for deliveries.

Every Wednesday our cafe turns into a market place where a wide variety of seasonal fruit and vegetables is on sale at very low prices. Come and join us to see what is in season.Lots of the produce used in The Veggie Table is produced by ourselves and is also available on the Co-op.

Cook Book Now on Sale
Many people have requested copies of the recipes of our meals and production of this book has been the cumulative work of Cafe workers, volunteers and visitors to the cafe. At The Veggie Table we aim to promote healthy eating within a reasonable budget and judging from the regular praise we recieve from you, we believe we are sucessful!! The Veggie Table Cook Book can be purchased from Bath Place at the cost of £4.00, all proceeds will contribute to help further Bath Place Community Projects.

Grub Club

What is Grub Club?

Grub Club is a project steered by young people aged 8-13 years whereby our veggie table cafe operates as a social enterprise, led and managed by young people on a Saturday for periods of up to 6 weeks with constant supervision and support from the project manger, cafe support worker and youth worker.

What does Grub Club aim to do?

We aim to:

  • Raise awareness of the importance of healthy eating and nutrition to children and young people from all walks of life
  • Show young people where our food comes from - reducing our carbon footprint
  • Provide practical healthy cookery as a vital life skill
  • Provide a greater knowledge of preparing meals from basic ingredients
  • Provide a good insight into menu planning (Week by week a new menu has to be invented)
  • working with money (mental maths)
  • A greater knowledge of kitchen safety, food health and hygiene
  • Some experience in marketing, dealing with the public and life skills including some personal responsibilities and customer service in the kitchen
  • Build confidence, character, social skills, personal development and vital life skills.
  • Empower young people with valuable hands on practical experience helping run the Grub Club Cafe

When is the pilot project?

The start date is on Saturday the 28th of July 2007 and will then run for the following 4 consecutive Saturdays.

Will there be a fee?

The pilot project is free.
