About Us

About Bath Place

The main aims of Bath Place Community Venture are to enable local people to gain access to facilities, support information and education. We seek particularly to empower people who, because of poverty and/or prejudice, are generally denied access to participation and power elsewhere.

Bath Place aims to work in an anti-sexist, anti-racist way and to challenge attitudes and practices which discriminate against lesbians and gay men, and on the basis of class, race, nationality, age, gender, disability, marital status, or responsibility for dependents.

We expect all our workers to actively support this aim.

handshake support

Our values are expressed in support work for individuals, and encouragement of self-help groups and a range of community projects and activities.

The Veggie Table

Having received funding from Global Grants, The Veggie Table continues to open five days a week Monday to Friday serving lunch 12 - 1.30pm. Our value-for-money food co-op continues on Wednesdays. The Veggie Table at Bath Place is now delivering by cycle, freshly prepared vegetarian meals to Brunswick Street, Willes Road and other Old Town areas of Leamington. For more information click onto Veggie Table.

Childcare provision

Child in Care

The Warwickshire County Council contract remains in place allowing Bath Place to continue its seasonal pre-school nursery, and two Play and Stay sessions a week. Childcare was one of the original services at Bath Place, supporting a cross-section of families in the local community, and following recent Government backing for more flexible and affordable support for families, Bath Place is considering expanding this area of its work.

Supporting local groups

room hire door

The Venture is continuing with affordable room hire and guidance for user groups and community initiatives while reviewing the pricing policy for commercial organisations. We have newly refurbished both our Workshop and Community room which are available for training, meetings and other community uses.
